All Weather Insulated Panels (AWIP) offers insulated metal panels that can be tailored to meet the specific demands of modern building requirements. In an industry of demands where building systems must excel in precise internal environmental control but also feature an attractive exterior appearance, AWIP products are valuable for internal environmental control and external aesthetics. With nearly 100 wineries relying on AWIP products for their production and storage facilities, the effectiveness of insulated metal panels achieving energy efficiency is established. Situated on a 200-acre property, Caelesta Winery dedicates 80 acres to wildlife and conservation efforts, reflecting its dedication to ecological balance. Between 2017 and 2018, the winery implemented a strategic planning initiative, establishing twenty-two vineyard blocks on hillside elevation between 1,200 and 1,320 feet. The high-density planting approach necessitates intense competition among the vines for nutrients and water, resulting in lower yields but enhancing the concentration and quality of the fruit produced. For each vineyard block, the winery selected grape varieties best suited to the specific conditions of each suite. This involved careful consideration of rootstock, spacing, trellising, and orientation to optimize the expression of the unique terroir. The vineyard’s soil profile primarily consists of Linne-Caolodo soil complex—characterized by its mineral richness, shallow depth, and excellent drainage.

The soil’s calcareous nature is reminiscent of the renowned soils of the Rhône Vally in France, contributing to the distinct character of the winery’s offerings. In transforming Caelesta Winery’s facilities, the DM40 wall panel and HR3-W ribbed wall panels from All Weather Insulated Panels were instrumental. Each panel brought unique benefits to the project. The DM40 wall panel is versatile, allowing for installation both vertically and horizontally. This flexibility helps fit the panel seamlessly into the winery’s design, enhancing both its appearance and functionality. The panel’s design integrates multiple features into one unit, including the outer finish, weather protection, insulation, and vapor control. This all-in-one approach simplifies the building process, boosts efficiency, and cuts down on installation costs. The HR3-W ribbed wall panels were selected for their rugged industrial aesthetic and ease of installation. Featuring exposed through-fasteners, these panels offer a distinctive look reminiscent of the classic board and batten style in a single application. By using the DM40 wall panel and HR3-W ribbed wall panels, Caelesta Winery has not only modernized its facilities achieving a blend of effective environmental control and visual appeal but also highlighting the panel’s impact on improving both the winery’s performance and aesthetics.
